Maggie’s CentresMaggie’s Centres are for people who have been recently diagnosed with cancer, have been living with cancer for years or have a friend or relative who has cancer. Each Centre is situated beside an NHS Cancer Hospital and has been designed to be as un-institutional as possible, with light, space and warmth. You don’t need to make a time or appointment to visit a Maggie’s Centre you can just walk through the door. There are no payments to be made and no forms to be filled in. All centres are run by professional, specialist staff. |

OvacomeOvacome is a UK based charity established in 1996, by an ovarian cancer patient named Sarah Dickinson. We provide support and information for all those affected by ovarian cancer. The charity offers our 5,500+ members with a supportive community by way of a detailed website, an informational leaflet series, a nurse helpline which puts members in touch via a phone buddy system and the organisation of regular fund raising events. Ovacome are leading advocates, successfully campaigning for change, to promote earlier diagnosis in symptomatic women and better ongoing treatment of the disease. All of our services are free of charge. |
